In university I wrote a paper for a seminar called “Analogue Computers” about the Phillips Machine (also known as MONIAC). I couldn’t find too many (detailed) pictures. Luckily the Science Museum in London has one on display, so I took a bunch of photos.
After more than two years of using my trusty Thinkpad X200, carrying it on many travels and with almost daily usage, it started to become a little hot. The temperature sensors would frequently show temperatures of 70, 80 and more degrees, which of course impacted battery life. This is how I fixed it.
